Dr Tanvi Gautam

Dr. Tanvi Gautam is the founder of Global People Tree, a global consulting and training firm. Global People Tree is also internationally known for its LeaderSHIFT ™ -related to innovative talent management practices, leadership development as well as diversity and inclusion. Dr Gautam's ideas on managing the new workplace, as well as women and leadership, have been published and quoted in prominent international forums such as Harvard Business Review USA and the Singapore Business Review.

She is also currently the Program Director, Executive education (Women and Leadership programme) at Singapore Management University.

Dr Gautam is also Asia's first certified "story coach". Her corporate storytelling workshops help clients around the world leverage the power of storytelling for influence, engagement and change. She is also a TEDx speaker and internationally sought after keynote presenter.

Additionally, Dr Gautam is very passionate about diversity and inclusion and works with high potential women across the globe to help them realize their leadership potential. She has her own podcast series where she highlights the thought leadership of women from across the globe and is also the curator of the first ever list of 50 women from India to follow on Twitter: An attempt to highlight the women who are leading their niche in India.

More recently, Dr Gautam was invited to be a member of the prestigious Leadership Transition Institute, a global think tank of Central Executive Board and also a board member of Asian Region Training and Development organization.

Ms Pat Law

An award-winning digital media strategist with over a decade of experience in traditional and digital advertising, Ms Law is also the founder of three companies; GOODSTUPH – the Social Media Agency of the Year 2013, ANOTHER GOOD THING  – a social laboratory behind retail label THE DAMN GOOD SHOP , and GOOD CHI  – an experience marketing company.

Her innovative digital marketing and out-of-the-box campaigns are changing the way traditional media is being used. Ms Law has won awards for her campaigns, sealing her reputation as a savvy advertiser. In 2012, her company GOODSTUPH won a number of awards at the Marketing Events Awards and the Singapore Creative Circle Awards for its innovative campaign for Hewlett Packard.

Beyond marketing, Ms Law conducts talks and workshops from time to time to clients and agencies such as DDB Singapore, Ogilvy Singapore, Nike Asia, Unilever, Singtel and more.

Ms Law is also known for her acerbic and insightful writing style, which has made her a sought-after columnist and guest writer. Besides her blog (blankanvas.bypatlaw.com), which she started in 2007 and draws an average of 50,000 unique visitors a month, Ms Law is also a contributing writer to online magazines Asia Digital Map, Culturepush, and The Open Room; and Today newspaper (Digital section). She is also frequently sought for her views on social media and technology trends by the local media.

Ms Celeste Chong

Celeste Chong has been Singapore nightclub The Butter Factory's Co-founder and Marketing Director since the company's inception.

Upon graduating with communications degree from Nanyang Technological University, Ms Chong has had 9 years of marketing experience in the nightlife industry. She is responsible for The Butter Factory’s marketing strategy.

Ms Chong was also the chief editor of Rhythm magazine, an in-house publication started by The Butter Factory in 2007 and which ran for a number of years.

Besides working on The Butter Factory projects, Ms Chong is also the creator of AOS Collective, a 7-man international Music Collective comprising of 5 DJs, 1 MC and 1 Beatboxer that was launched in 2012. The AOS Collective has since headlined events in Singapore and overseas including Johnnie Walker Circuit Night Party in Jakarta. In late 2012, it launched a dance CD compilation by Warner Music called AOS ANTHEMs.

Ms Jane Lee

Ms Jane Lee was the leader, and also the youngest member of the Singapore Women's Everest Team. Ms Lee co-founded the team in 2004 when she was 20, and the team became the first women from Singapore to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 2009.

In 2008, four years into the preparation for Everest, the expedition was almost called off due to lack of funding, but Ms Lee and her team were able to turn the situation around and eventually secure sponsorship to support the 6-member team to Mount Everest. While training intensively for the climb, Ms Lee also worked full-time as a senior executive at Republic Polytechnic.

After success on Mount Everest, Ms Lee went on the complete the 7 summits, the tallest mountains on each of the seven continents (Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America). Ms Lee is the first woman from Southeast Asia, and the 37th woman in history to have scaled the Seven Summits. She also completed a ski crossing of Greenland from the West to East coast in June 2013.

For her role in pushing the boundaries of women in extreme sports, Ms Lee was awarded a commendation from the President, the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the National University of Singapore, and the Young Woman Achiever Award by Her World Singapore.

Ms Lee recently completed her MBA at Yale University, and currently works as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company.

Ms Syaira Suhimi

Owner and Head Baker of Fluff Bakery, Miss Syaira is a Psychology Graduate from the State University of Buffalo New York under the SIM Global Education programme. After graduation, Miss Syaira tried her hands on a variety of jobs ‒ from TV production to marketing and public relations before she decided to start her own business as a baker.

Six months before her wedding, Ms Syaira quit her day job and started off supplying cupcakes to a popular Singapore café in the east, Penny University. Not long later, her husband Mr Ashraf Alami was diagnosed with two brain tumours.

It was a difficult time for the couple but they decided to make the most out of what they had, opening their own little artisanal bakery, Fluff Bakery.

Today, Fluff Bakery has eight full-time staff and bakes more than 980 cupcakes a day for sale from 12pm on Wednesday to Sundays in their little shophouse kitchen. Their cupcakes are usually sold out 3 hours after opening.

Fluff Bakery is strong in social media, especially Instagram with 20,000 followers. Ms Syaira hopes to inspire others with her simple story of turning her average life into something her parents can be proud of.

Ms Charmaine Yee

Ms Charmaine Yee is a well-known Singapore emcee/host and radio producer and presenter with HOT FM 91.3. She has also done voice overs for numerous commercials and campaigns including Sunsilk, Tourism Australia, Air Asia. A multi-talented artist, Ms Yee is also a television host, having interviewed the "Hot Guys" from TV show Hot Guys Who Cook on Diva Universal, F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton, and international artistes such as James Morrison, Nelly Furtardo and more. Off air, Charmaine supports a number of charities including Cancer Awareness and Autism awareness.

Ms Lee Min Xuan

Ms Lee Min Xuan is the co-founder of PlayMoolah - an innovation company that designs fun digital products for young people to help them make smart decisions about money through the power of play. She brings an eclectic blend of experiences to drive PlayMoolah’s product strategy, innovation, and partnerships. Ms Lee is passionate about re-inventing education, and is currently experimenting with truth, business, and social change.

Ms Trixie Khong

Ms Trixie Khong is the founder of By Invite Only and a self-taught jewellery crafter. While acquiring her Diploma in Chemical Engineering at Temasek Polytechnic, Ms Khong realised that engineering wasn’t her call and decided to make a career switch. Ms Khong entered the National University of Singapore for a Communications and New Media degree when she founded the brand in 2009. Four short years later, her hobby became a full-fledged business stocked in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Osaka and online.
